A PEARL OF THE FIRST REPUBLIC IN THE CENTER OF PRAGUE
HThe history of the Apollo Theater began in 1927, when the owners of the building, then called the Česká Koruna Palace, had a theater hall added to the courtyard, in whichthere was also a music cafe where a cosmopolitan audience met. At that time the theater was still called Máj.
From 1965, a then fledgling and later very famous group of artists called themselves the Apollo Theater started hosting guests here. He was in the leadlyricist and screenwriter
Jiří Shtaidl. Members of the group were singers Karel Gott, Karel Hála, Yvonne Přenosilová or Pavlína Filipovská.
